Sorana Petersen is an accomplished Human Resources leader and Executive Coach who thrives on helping others grow into their potential. With a career devoted to developing high-performing, people-centered cultures, Sorana finds her greatest fulfillment in coaching and advising leaders – supporting them through challenges, unlocking their strengths, and guiding them to lead with confidence and clarity. 

That joy led her to create Vyze Consulting & Coaching, a business built around what she loves most: helping individuals and organizations thrive through intentional growth. At Vyze, Sorana blends her deep HR expertise, sharp business insight, and a wide range of coaching tools to support executives, teams, and organizations as they navigate transformation and pursue their goals with purpose. 

Over the span of her 20-year career, Sorana has held senior HR leadership roles in both public and privately held companies across diverse industries. Most recently, she was Vice President of Human Resources at Brain Corporation, a San Diego-based AI and robotics company, where she led HR and Talent functions. Previously, she served as Senior Director of Human Resources at Best Buy Health, and Vice President of HR at GreatCall, where she led HR, training, quality, and organizational development. 

She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego. She is a certified Executive Coach through UC Berkeley’s Executive Coaching Institute and holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI. 

Based in San Diego, Sorana lives with her husband and two sons. She finds joy in supporting her kids’ sports, spending time outdoors, and serving on the board of the San Diego HR Forum, where she champions mentorship and scholarship programs for the next generation of leaders.
